SPECTABILIS - Installations

Is the artistic collaboration between Eddy Becquart and Jan van Breugel. they literally and figuratively "aim" to make the visible stand out in their creations - Their realizations make the immediate environment "noteworthy".

A characteristic of these joint installations is that each installation arises from and has a direct relationship with the space where the installation is made, so that there is a clear interaction between object(s) and space. Partly due to this interaction with the environment, all our installations are characterized by the following phases:                                                      1-Observation. For us, the origin of an installation always lies in a realistic, observable fact. We make a visual notation of what we see, where we try to get to the essence of the observable for us. In a broad sense, the time factor is, in addition to the image, an important recurring element in our work.

3-interpret . The perceived image is  transformed into an independent visual reality.

The Spectabilis Installations are divided into 2 different perspectives:

-ARGESPEVO installations. ARGESPEVO stands for ARgeological Society for Spectacular Observations. ) by making historical probability visible in excavations with imagination.

- Registrations. These are projects in which we visibly register specific places and times in viewing installations with instruments and paintings.
